Case Report # 10 – Pinky (Chronic Dermatitis)

History: We first met Pinky  when her newly adopted owners brought her to us for a physical examination due to severe dermatitis on 10/13/2000. Pinky had been abandoned, probably due to her severely inflamed skin. Her coat was very sparse and her skin was very pink (Thus Pinky’s name), greasy and carried a distinctly yeasty odor. A conventional veterinarian diagnosed “Severe generalized pruritic dermatitis only partially responsive to bathing and antibiotic (Cephalexin) Rx.”

Note: Pinky’s owners commented that they hated to take animals to veterinarians because the latter are “only concerned with making money and always require endless follow-up visits.” Little did we know. . .

Muscle response testing revealed a positive Yeast Reflex, with a single orally located virus (Canine Papilloma Virus). Treatment was by oral nutritional supplementation at first. However, for the past year Pinky has received her therapy via Harmonic Translation.

Note: When allergies to apparently the same allergen which have been cleared previously occur, the probable reason is that another ingredient of the complex allergen has been identified. For instance, it is possible for a patient to be allergic to Catalyn, an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. But Catalyn is a complex allergen containing perhaps thousands of possible sub-allergens. In clearing an allergy to “Catalyn” with NAET, the practitioner may really be clearing only one of the allergens contained in the complex. Additional clearings for other individual ingredients may be required later so that it appears that the allergy to Catalyn has returned.

Note: Hit or Miss testing was the result of increased Client activity. From here on, Clients decided to use Harmonic Translation instead of oral supplementation.

NOTE: Since the symptoms of dermatitis have largely disappeared, owners are naturally anxious to discontinue therapy even though we expect allergies to be present. Even though we warned that any present symptoms (i.e., arthritis) are likely to worsen, no further testing was performed for the next seven months.

(Note: Weakness of the spleen frequently is associated with skin problems. We assume that the skin is a back-up organ to the spleen. The function probably affected in that of filtration. If the spleen’s filtration function is reduced, proteins and other waste products may be filtered less efficiently through the skin. If “pores” of the skin become clogged, bacteria may be attracted to the excess protein, etc.)

NOTE: We would prefer more frequent allergy clearing, but owners are “max’ed out” money wise. This is understandable, even though we have offered discounts.

Pinky continues to improve slowly. Owners understand that more frequent allergy clearing would accelerate healing, but are satisfied with the slower progress because:

1.    Economic restraints limit therapy to this velocity;

2.    No conventional therapies (steroids, analgesics, antibiotics, etc.) have yielded results.

November 23, 2006: Economics and family stresses have interrupted Pinky’s therapy.

11/28/00

One month later  Owners reported: “Hair is growing back and skin looks much better (Less Pink).” ETA revealed the presence of a single virus (Oral Canine Papilloma Virus) which scanned to Liver and Spleen. No allergies were noted with NAET.

Pinky received oral nutritional supplements with Rife frequencies (765.78, 465 ) were delivered in the nutritional supplement Arginex by SP.

12/19/00

Pruritic inflammatory dermatitis returned. (House mate is on yeast protocol.) New dog food. The presence of yeast was again determined by ETA.

Treatment remained the same, except four new supplements were added to address the newly re-identified yeast infection.

2/13/01

“Less pruritic, but still inflamed skin w/ alopecia.” Eyes are inflamed and tearing. Pinky presents a very complicated situation.

Two new viruses were discovered(!) (An unidentified adenovirus scanned to Triad and Skin; another unidentified virus scanned to Eyes).  Pinky continued to receive her nutritional supplements orally and a collection of new Rife frequencies (462.93, 925.85, 1851.7, 420.39, 840.77, 465) delivered in Arginex.

NAET revealed an allergy to Yeast (Later).

3/21/01

Hair is growing back, but skin is still inflamed.  Entropion of lower left palpebrum causes inflammation. Surgery will be performed when yeast problem has been resolved. Single Virus (an Adenovirus which scans to Triad, Skin, Eyes)]. Yeast infection continues.

Pinky continued to receive her nutritional supplements orally and a collection of new Rife frequencies (925.85, 1851.7, 420.39, 840.77) delivered in Arginex.

NAET still reveals allergy to yeast. (Cannot be cleared at this time due to Client logistics.).

5/2/01

Report: Owners changed feed and Pinky improved immediately. They believe her problems are over.

We suggested that this occurrence shows the importance of frequent allergy assessment and elimination.

5/23/01

After some time on the new feed, the dermatitis returned in full fury.

Entropion persists. Otitis externa present = f(Allergy)?

NAET testing revealed allergies to several supposedly hypoallergenic feeds. The allergies were cleared.

6/26/01

Pinky has lost all hair and is pruritic. Ears still bother her as does conjunctivitis. Pinky is in full heat. (Note: At this time we still had not realized the importance of chemical accumulation and were treating Pinky symptomatically.)

ETA revealed a Spleen Reflex and she was treated orally accordingly.

NAET determined allergy to Trader Joe’s Dog Food + Stomach Acid, and to Pinky’s own SKIN!!! Allergies cleared.

7/27/01

Severe pruritus, especially legs. (When will this end?)

ETA revealed the Parotid Reflex. Parotid Reflex was addressed with oral supplementation.

Pinky was allergic to the tiles in her house. The allergy was cleared.

8/31/01

Angry dermatitis has diminished remarkably. Alopecia persists. Bilateral entropions persist, but we may be able to eliminate them as we eliminate allergies.

ETA still revealed the presence of the Parotid Reflex (which scanned to Spleen and Skin). A digestion problem was also found. The owners reported they had not been giving the probiotic as instructed but will do so now (Fastrack 1/4 teaspoon/day).

NAET revealed allergy to Iron [Fence, Rail, Blanket]. The allergy was cleared.

9/20/01

“Pinky has broken out in ringworm-like circular welt lesions which seem to respond to OTC ringworm topical. Has thrown up twice.”

ETA revealed the Pus Reflex which scanned to Yeast (correction via oral Spanish Black Radish). Presence of Parotid Reflex persists (Globulins, Chlordane and Succinic Acid all scanned to Skin).

NAET revealed allergy to two nutritional supplements Whole Desiccated Spleen, Spleen PMG. The allergies were cleared.

10/13/01

“Inflammation and crusting around mouth is new.” ETA revealed the presence of the Left Master Allergy Reflex (indicating presence of a bacterial infection (Campylobacter, Bactria Mix) which scanned to oral opening.

The Parotid Reflex persists (Chlordane scans to Spleen).

NAET revealed allergy to Grains, Trader Joe’s Wet & Dry dog food. The allergy was cleared.

12/4/01

Dramatic improvement since last visit. Hair is growing back, skin not as inflamed. Entropions persist.

ETA revealed Left Master Allergy (LMA - Campylobacter, Bactria Mix) which scanned to Oral opening which scanned to Allergy – I believe this sequence of findings indicates that the infection occurred on tissue that was damaged by an allergic reaction. The Parotid Reflex also showed up (Chlordane scanned to Spleen).

2/2/02

Left inferior entropion corrected surgically 7 days ago at same time as Pinky’s spay (i.e., ovario-hysterectomy). Good improvement in skin condition. Skin still oily and slightly hyperemic.

ETA revealed Parotid Reflex. 7 chemicals were found (Car Exhaust, Isopropyl Alcohol, Crude Oil, Paint Mix, Oxalic Acid, Smoking, and Phloridzine) which scanned to Parotid, Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas and Spleen.

3/8/02

Generalized mild dermatitis and conjunctivitis.

ETA revealed Parotid Reflex. Five chemicals (Marijuana, Cobalt, Orlon, Chromium and Copper) scanned to Parotid, Liver, Gallbladder and Skin.

We used NAET to discover and clear allergies to the five chemicals.

4/12/02

“Feet starting to itch a little bit. Hair still sparse on back of neck.” Still purging chemicals.

ETA revealed presence of five chemicals (Chromium, Melybdenum, Aluminum, Mercury, Copper) which traced to Parotid, Liver, Gallbladder, Skin and Large Intestine.

6/12/02

“Doing pretty good. Bald spots still on back of neck & shoulders. Itchy feet.”

Four chemicals found today under the Parotid Reflex (Heavy Metals, Iodine, Lead, Magnesium) traced to Parotid, Liver, Gallbladder and Skin.

8/20/02

Owners discontinued last protocol shortly after beginning because Pinky was vomiting. Now signs of dermatitis are severe, affecting feet and mouth/gums. We explained that the stomach upset was probably due to an allergy, and the associated allergy should be cleared instead of discontinuing therapy.

ETA revealed 5 chemicals.

11/1/02

Again, Owners discontinued Rx before finishing w/ chemicals. “Feet started itching. Red mouth. Sparse area behind shoulder area. Hips stiff.”

Seven chemicals + allergy to all. Recommend staying with Rx. Owners agreed. Results are overpoweringly positive.

12/7/02

“Spot on back of neck the same. Licks feet occasionally. Hips sore.”

7 chemicals
